Zakat Fund Policy

Zakat is a fundamental pillar of Islam and a means of purifying our wealth by giving to those in need. At Hayat Orphanage, we believe that zakat is a powerful tool to help the most vulnerable members of our society, particularly orphans and needy children. As such, we are committed to collecting and distributing zakat donations in a transparent, efficient, and impactful way.

Our zakat policy ensures that all donations are used exclusively for the benefit of orphans and needy children at Hayat Orphanage. This means that the funds will be used to provide basic necessities such as food, clothing, shelter, and medical care to the children and needy families in Afghanistan. We will distribute the zakat funds directly to the beneficiaries or use them to purchase necessary items for them.

We prioritize the distribution of zakat funds to the neediest, particularly orphans who have lost both parents or those with disabilities and widows. We believe that by focusing on the most vulnerable members of our society, we can make the biggest impact with our zakat donations.

We are committed to using the zakat funds transparently and efficiently to maximize their impact. We will provide regular updates to the donors on how their zakat contributions have been used and the impact they have had. We also ensure that all zakat donations are collected and distributed by Islamic principles and guidelines.

The Quran contains many verses that emphasize the importance of zakat and its role in helping those in need. Here are a few examples:

“And establish prayer and give zakah, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves – you will find it with Allah. Indeed, Allah of what you do, is Seeing.” (Quran 2:110)

“Take, [O, Muhammad], from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase, and invoke [Allah’s blessings] upon them. Indeed, your invocations are reassurance for them. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.” (Quran 9:103)

“Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds and establish prayer and give zakah will have their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.” (Quran 2:277)

These verses, among others, emphasize the importance of zakat in purifying our wealth, helping those in need, and earning Allah’s reward. By donating your zakat to Hayat Orphanage, you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of orphans and needy children while fulfilling your obligation as a Muslim.
