Duas, or supplications, are an integral part of Ramadan for Muslims. They are a way to connect with Allah, seek His forgiveness, and express gratitude for His blessings. Here are some of the most commonly recited duas during Ramadan:
Dua for starting the fast (Suhur):
O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You and I put my trust in You and I break my fast with Your sustenance
Dua for breaking the fast (Iftar):
O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You and I put my trust in You and I break my fast with Your sustenance
Dua for seeking forgiveness (Astaghfirullah):
I seek the forgiveness of Allah, there is no true god except Allah, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting, and I turn to Him in repentance
Dua for strengthening faith and seeking guidance (Rabbana atina):
Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter and save us from the punishment of the Hell Fire.
Dua for mercy and forgiveness (Allahumma innaka afuwwun):
O Allah, You are the Forgiver, You love to forgive, so forgive me.
These are just a few examples of the many duas that Muslims recite during Ramadan. The month is a time of increased spiritual reflection and devotion, and the recitation of these duas is a way to deepen one’s connection with Allah and seek His blessings and forgiveness.
